Summoners War a Week in Review (7/3/17 to 7/9/17)

Summoners War a Week in Review (7/3/17 to 7/9/17)

Remember to subscribe to the weekly blog with your email, and the youtube channel for videos.

Last week I was able to make some incredible progress in Summoners War.  A few things definitely helped contribute to that progress across both my accounts.  First and foremost, you should always be trying to take advantage of Free Rune Removal (FRR).  The next thing that helped was really a little Summoners War RNG.  Nothing like a little Random Number Generation that falls in your favor, something I will talk about a little later.

Theme

As I have talked about FRR before in the past, my focus for this weeks theme will revolve more around Summoners War RNG and Summoners War Summon Rates.  I think this is always a fun, exciting, and most definitely frustrating topic for all Summoners.  Not just in Summoners War, but also in many other games or challenges you may potentially face in life.  Especially, with things like becoming a millionaire by winning the lottery! Seriously, not advocating that.

Account Progression

KidMythras Alt Account

This past week I hit my 60 days of account creation!  My Alt account is moving along pretty quickly, and I plan to write a separate piece, and probably video just to talk more indepth about how far I made it in 60 days.  I do want to mention a few high-level items about the topic though.  First, Summoners War has made it much easier for noobs to play the game.  The addition of Reina’s Challenges have really helped get a good footing in the game.  With the rewards really helping to tee you up for success, and to be honest layout a good game path that wasn’t there before.  I like how they broke it down for specific topics of focus as well.

Also as everyone knows my favorite Faimon Hell Farming with Lapis! Seriously though, I did six star Lapis first after my first 30 days of game play.  Here is the link to what I did achieve in 30 days: http://www.gamertagmythras.com/summoners-war-first-30-days/

Faimon Hell Farmer Lapis

One of the major reasons I did this is it created an immediate focus for the account, and a farmer.  You will most likely spend most of your time farming stuff, and early game Summoners War Experience for you monsters is crucial for progression.  It definitely paid off for me in the first days of game play, and didn’t give me room for hesitation on who to six star.  Also, to be honest I hadn’t summoned any monsters that would lead me to immediately want to six star anyway.  Closest at that time would have been Water Harp Magician.  However, I would have preferred a damage dealer like Hwa.  Also, I have been farming Faimon Hell with a Fatal Blade set! More to come on that as well, some additional tips for this.

The other piece I wanted to mention was the steady progression I have already made in Monster Fusion.  My summoning sessions have got me very close to completing the Wind Valkyrja Katarina.  I am one Water Grim Reaper Hemos Away.  Most of the monsters I also have leveled up due to Lapis.  I have also fused Baretta, and made great progress on Veromos.  Following my personal Veromos Guide:

Summoners War RNG & Summoners War Summon Rates

Now a quick fun discussion point on the Summoners War Random Number Generator.  First off, the Summoners War RNG Gods were in my corner last week.  I was able to summon some killer monsters across both my accounts that made my day.  I did my largest summoning to date and am currently editing the videos for everyone.  I will let you know that I got my Galleon, not only once but twice! So that is a little RNG love right there, and one on each account.  Very happy about that, and you will just need to subscribe so you don’t miss the Summon Session.

Now as far as RNG goes in Summoners War last week someone posted on reddit the summon rates.  Apparently in the Korean server or something they became visible.  I am reposting the list here from a reddit article: https://www.reddit.com/r/summonerswar/comments/6k7yb8/summoners_war_rates_exposed/

Mystical and Elemental Scrolls

  • Nat 5 – 0.5%
  • Nat 4 – 8.0%
  • Nat 3 – 91.5%

Exclusive Stones and L&D

  • Nat 5 – 0.5%(so 10,000 stones)
  • Nat 4 – 8.0%
  • Nat 3 – 91.5%

L&D

  • Nat 5 – 0.35%
  • Nat 4 – 6.0%
  • Nat 3 – 93.65%

Legendary and Transcendence

  • Nat 5 – 6.5%
  • Nat 4 – 93.5%
  • Nat 3 – Just Kidding

Transcendence is self explanatory.

Temple of Wishes

  • Rainbowmon – 1.6%
  • King Angelmon – 1.6%
  • Crystal 10/15/20 – 22.4%
  • Crystal 50/100/150 – 2.0%
  • Mana 10,000 – 28.9%
  • Mana 30k/50k/70k – 2.0%
  • Mana 150k – 1.5%
  • Energy 15 – 24.0%
  • Arena Wings 5 – 12.0%
  • Mystical Scroll – 2.0%
  • Rune – 1.5%
  • Monster – 0.5%

Essentially Summoners War RNG is not so random anymore!  Which is another reason why I wanted to talke about RNG.  In reality you could argue its not really random because it is defined by a set of criteria.  This would then make it Pseudo Random.  Why its PRNG is that there is a determined set of criteria.

DivineMythras

To save some time here a little overlap as before.  Had some Summoners War RNG land in my favor on my main.

To cover Free Rune Removal a little more in depth it was definitely more of a focus on my main account.  To prepare for it I had a Rune Crafting Session where I crafted over 50 runes!  I was able to get some Legendries and some other six-star runes to enhance a few of my monsters.  Last week’s FRR was also one of the most successful in terms of monster upgrades.  I re-runed Stella, Baretta, Hwa, and stripped some of my lower monsters to transition them to 4-star fodder.  All-in I spent well over six million mana upgrading the new adjusted runes on them as well.

Rune Craft Session

A couple other key notes was that I six starred Stella, and awakened her.  I completed Summoners War R5 for the first time.  Another video to come there.  On top of it all I was able to skill up Homie’s level four skill.  I have one last skill to enhance on Homie and he will then be complete!

Major progress last week on my main account all around.  Definitely one of the biggest boosts in a while things to some RNG love, and the Summoners War Free Rune Removal.

Summary

Wow this has been a wordy blog with a lot of heavy topics.    Lots of those topics I could spend a ton more time and probably will in the future.  Especially since they could each have their own blog I’m sure!  I hope you enjoyed the progression on my alt and main.  Additionally, I hope you enjoyed seeing the Summoners War Summon Rates, and hitting the topic on Summoners War RNG in doing so.  Until next time Summoners keep on summoning!

Summoners War: Trial of Ascension Guide June/July 2017

Summoners War: Trial of Ascension Guide June/July 2017

This Trial of Ascension Guide should be used as a reference, or additional source to help you progress in the June/July 2017 Trial of Ascension for Summoners War.  First off, I love TOA.  One of the main reasons is the great rewards you can rack up over the course of the 30ish day challenge.  However, on the flip side sometimes obtaining these rewards can prove to be somewhat of a challenge.  Hence, why I decided to through this blog together with some clips to help provide an additional point of view.  One thing that I have found to happen oddly enough is sometimes you get stuck on random floors for the specific TOA, and this time around it was Floor 83.  I will cover that awkward floor as well.  So, sit back, relax, grab some breakfast or popcorn where ever you are in the world, and enjoy.

Trial of Ascension 70F Aschubel

Aschubel isn’t that bad of a mob floor for TOA.  Aschubel may provide more difficulties at higher levels, but in this months case I was able to go straight to the face and DPSer down.  Straight to the face is always clutch, and fun.

Team: Veromos(L), Iona, Chasun, Water Homie, Theomars

Ideally you should be able to go multiple different DPSers to help you get past this floor, and you can sub on the healers here as well.  For example, you could throw belladeon into the mix.

Trial of Ascension 80F Xing Zhe

The floor features Wind Monkey King Xing Zhe with Isillen and Ursha Mobs.  I take a slow and steady approach by taking out the Ursha’s then Dark Elven Rangers.  Finishing up with Xing Zhe himself.

Team: Veromos(L), Iona, Chasun, Water Homie, Theomars

A little crowd control, damage dealing, and big heals help to accomplish the task!  Same as above, the strategy will be the same, just find the right monsters that fit into your crew.

Trial of Ascension 83F Dover Eluin

TOA 83, to be honest and frank I included this floor because I got stuck.  I don’t want to lie even after clearing TOA for several months now you do get stuck or hit a roadblock once and a while with your team.

This floor particularly I wanted to showcase two different teams to help with TOA 83F Dover Eluin.  Floor 83 of this months Trial of Ascension can be a show stopper if you are not fully prepared for the two Dovers and three Eluins.  My team is not fully farmable but the strategy remains the same.  Try and spank down the Eluins then move on to the dovers.  To achieve this you will need some speed, and really a decent CC team.  You will want some stunner instead of Iris and Hommie to most likely help do the trick!

Dover Eluin Teams:

Veromos(L), Bernard, Hommie Water, Iris, Chasun

Veromos(L), Bernard, Sigmarus, Chasun, Theomars (run starts @ 3:30)

Trial of Ascension 90F Poseidon

Take out the Dark Taoist  Woohak first then the Fucos, and close out with Poseidon.  The way I was able to accomplish this floor was with speed.  The big thing that allowed me to close it out was bringing in both Verdehile and Bernard.  I was almost able to complete it without Verdehile.  Some other combos I saw was the use of everyones favorite Baretta, but you could definitely get the job done with a little more crowd control then I used.  I would also suggest using Aria, but unfortunately mine was not at 6 star to get the job done for me.

Team: Veromos(L), Verdehile, Bernard, Belladeon, Chasun

Trial of Ascension 100F Ath’taros

This video still holds true on how you want to approach TOA 100F when the monster boss is Ath’taros.  The idea is to take out the left crystal, right crystal, and then the boss.  This is the most tried and true approach to completing the floor.

Team: Veromos (L), Belladeon, Iona, Theomars, Chasun

I realize the team used to beat the level is not 100% farmable.  In my case the strategy was to get high health, big heals, and one DPSer.  With that said, you can sub in different monsters for the ones you do not have to beat TOA 100F.

Conclusion

In summary, I showcased my Summoners War Trial of Ascension team to help produce a Trial of Ascension Guide for June/July 2017.  Not all the monsters are farmable, but the general strategy and ideas remain constant.  I hope you were able to find this Summoners War Guide useful, and may your Trial of Ascension runs in this recent month prove successful Summoners!

Summoners War: What to do in your first 30 days?

Summoners War: What to do in your first 30 days?

About a year ago I blogged about my experience in Summoners War First 30 days on my very first foray into Summoners War. A month ago, I decided to start over from scratch and see what’s new, or has changed from a beginner’s point of view.  I can definitely say a lot has changed, and why I wanted to provide some helpful tips in What to do in your first 30 days?  I hope you find these additional details helpful!

Summoners War: First 30 Days (Comprehensive Beginner’s Guide)

http://www.gamertagmythras.com/summoners-war-beginners-guide-first-30-days/

First 30 Days #howto

Yes, that is right you should have a decent idea of how to play your first 30 days so you don’t go about wasting all that precious time of yours.  A little research can definitely go a long way.  The first time I blogged about fairly specific stuff to start out.  This time I plan to give you more guide rails then before from what I have found in starting out from scratch.

First 30 Day #howto

In all honesty, I got to hand it to Com2US, because with the introduction of Reina quests and challenges they have really provided great guidelines into the Summoners War Sky Arena World.  Previously the navigation of the game was much more difficult.  Today with the five quest categories you are set up for success in your early game.  What this means for you is that most of the beginning information you need is right there for you, and you don’t have to piece meal everything together.

Reina Challenge

What you need to do is focus on a few things.  The Reina Challenges and more specifically the Daily Dungeons will allow you to quickly pick up various key monsters for your team.  These monsters include Bernard, Shannon, Konamiya, and Ramagos to quickly help advance your team.  You can’t go wrong with building out any of these monsters in the early game.

With the inclusion of Monster Training 101, Fast Leveling Strategy, Daily Dungeon Tips, and Giant’s Keep Master you have a decent set of guide rails.  To break this down more specifically I would do the following after collecting the key monsters for your team.

Reina Challenge Overview

First you will want to start to leverage the elemental dungeons you beat from B7 to awaken your monsters.  Do not spend time grinding the dungeons daily for essence, it is a waste of time in the early game.  However, get to B7 and collect the essences you will need to power up your monsters. You should however, make sure you have the bare minimum to awaken with the mats you get from the B7 Daily Dungeon Tips Challenges.

Next, you will also want to get at least a team of five monsters at five stars.  This will really form the baseline of your team.  Here is my suggestion aside from any new monsters you summon.  I would five star the following mosnters:  Water Magic Knight Lapis, Wind Griffon Bernard, Wind Warbear Ramagos, Wind Pixie Shannon, and Water Garuda Konamiya.  Each of these monsters will come in handy.  Within the First 30 days I could auto Giants B7 with the above monsters minus Konamiya, but I think with all five at five stars and four-star runes at 9-12 you should be able to complete it.

The next task will be to take Water Magic Knight Lapis to six stars.  The main reason is thus, Lapis is a free Faimon hell grinder.  The challenges are set up for Lapis to auto Faimon Hell and help you with a fast leveling strategy.  It will work and they do a good job of showing you how to do it.  You can grind Faimon Hard with Fatal and Blade runes if you choose.  I was able to auto it with my Lapis.  Eventually I will add a better video around this.

Here is a good Lapis Faimon Hell Farmer Video:

Last, you need to have fun! Summoners War is a grind, but the fruits of your labor will show over time.  In a year, I achieved a lot! You can look at the blog here:

One Year Anniversary

Conclusion

I hope you have enjoyed the content, and it will help clarify questions you may have.  I know it can be exhausting trying to find the right answers, but I hope the beginner’s guide has given you some early guardrails that I wasn’t able to find readily.

I would love to hear feedback in comments.  Thanks for reading.

Summoners War a Month in Review (3/27/17 to 4/2/17)

Summoners War a Month in Review (3/27/17 to 4/2/17)

Remember to subscribe to the weekly blog with your email, and the youtube channel for videos.

Wow I’m lazy.  This past month had been really hard for me to stay on top of a weekly blog, and apologies to those who reached out, and wanted to hear about how my progression was doing.  With that said this week I am going to take a look a look back at the whole month of March! We start that Summoners War Homonuculus grind, do we finish?

Theme

This week’s theme will be centered on laziness.  I’m kidding, I am actually going to focus on Homunculus!  Yeah, that’s right.  The main reason is because in the month of March I was able to summon the beast mode monster, along with a few other things.

Month of March

In the past month I made some major strides along a bunch of lines.  Instead of trying to write it all out I’m actually going to take a little bit of a different approach by listing out a bunch of things that happened:

  • Completed Level-Up Event
  • 6* Lisa (Rational was for raid)
  • 6* Astar (Improve completion expectancy with Necromancer B10 – It worked)
  • Completed Friends Event
  • Hall of Heroes: Fire Samurai (B6)
  • Week of 3/13 I started Hommie Grind
  • TOAN 100 Completed
  • Summon Session: Chasing Trophy Monsters – Orion Attempt Second Try (Summoned Iris)
  • Awakened Kumar
  • Awakened Iris
  • 6* Sigmarus (Help Fire Rift)
  • Week or 3/27 Summoned Homunculus
  • Real-Time Arena Placement

Chasing Trophy Monsters Orion

I like to think the list above is a fairly good chunk of stuff I was able to complete over the last month despite some actually technology issues with my phone.  I have an HTC One M9, and it’s been over heating all the time.  I recently went in to get it replaced, and in doing so lost some videos like the Homunculus summoning, unfortunately I did not have it backed up.

On top of it all the majority of the down time was honestly spent grind double experience.  As you can see I was able to 6* three monsters in the month of March which is three times my average on one a month.  Mainly due to the timing of the events that occurred in the month.

Homunculus

Honestly in my opinion once you start hitting A’s on the rifts Homunculus is very doable.  I sort of was needing some change from all the double experience grinding so I decided to occasionally rift, which turned into I’m going to farm Homunculus.  However, the thing to know is once you do summon him, you still need to farm skills, skill him up, six star, awaken, and rune.  Your job is not done, and that’s when the Homunculus life really begins.

In all honesty I was told not to focus on Homunculus from multiple sources due to where my account was at.   However, I felt that trying to continue to tweak a monster here and there or swap out wasn’t going to improve my game enough at the pace I wanted to make that time worth it.  That is one additional reason why I decided to farm Homunculus.

Obviously I now have Homunculus, but in looking back on that choice I believe it was the right one to make.  Mainly because it allowed me a casual break in the farming that I had currently been doing, and it was a nice change of pace for something that I found of value.

A lot has happened over the month of March! I just need to soak it all in, and figure out my next steps which will be to continue working on my Hommie.  I am very happy I was able to accomplish so much over the last month and get some lucky summons.  Until next time Summoners keep on summoning.

Summoners War a Week in Review (2/27/17 to 3/5/17)

Summoners War a Week in Review (2/27/17 to 3/5/17)

Remember to subscribe to the weekly blog with your email, and the youtube channel for videos.

This week I made some very big progression strides, and did some in-depth analysis regarding summon rates, and magic shop refreshes.  I definitely got great value out of my time last week.  Even more so I was happy my strategy going into Necropolis B10 was correct!  Unfortunately it was a week later then I was hoping, but better late than never as they always say.

Theme

Detailed analysis is our guide for the week.  Mainly it was detailed analysis that enabled a few things in my Summoners War game play this week.  The first of those was the analysis I did a while back on Necropolis and how I could beat Necropolis B10.  My approach definitely paid off.  The second part of this week’s theme is furthering the understanding of summon rates and magic shop refreshes.

Necropolis B10

Accomplishing Necropolis B10 was a long sought after goal for me in my game progression.  Over the weekend I was able to complete it because of a few things.  The first piece that allowed me to beat Necropolis B10 for the first time was my initial time investment.  I recognized a few things I needed to change up with my team to accomplish the goal.  Those pieces were getting the correct multi hitting monsters to take down the necropolis.  The second part of that investment as well piece to the NB10 puzzle was rebuilding Hwa with violent focus runes instead.  I needed to get her off swift focus because I needed the extra hits in for necropolis.

I believe last week I mentioned that I needed to adjust Hwa as my final tweak to get the job done.  It seems I was correct in that analysis which is always great.  The thing that allowed me to do this was careful planning for the Free Rune Removal day that was also over the weekend.  I split my time throughout the week running Dragons B10 in hopes of some better runes in which I had in violent to enable Hwa to take down Necro B10.  Ultimately completing Necropolis B10 came to fruition with some detailed analysis on my own monsters, and tweaks to the team.  Now only to improve the success rates and times for the runs.

Summoners War Summon Rates

One thing I wanted to take a deeper look into was Summoner Wars Summon Rates.  The video is a very detailed explanation of the analysis.  The data is provided by Swarfarm.com

Summoners War Magic Shop Refreshes

Another item that had been on the top of my list for a while was to analyze the magic shop refresh theory.  The prevailing idea is that spending crystals on Magic Shop Refreshes is better than spending them on things like the Premium Packs.

I initially wanted to take a look back when I produced my analysis on Giants B10 drops rates. So, it was my pleasure to finally have the time to do the analysis last week.  The data was taken from Swarfarm.com.  My conclusion is really two fold.  The Magic Shop Refresh strategy should mainly be used if you have a ton of mana, and that will typically occur when you are a late game player.  One item I did not mention though in the video is the cost of your time to do this.  It might not be worth it even at late game to continuously refresh the shop.  The second is that I feel overall spending the crystals on premium packs is the better way to go for most players, and from a collective value feel.  What purchasing premium packs does lack is obviously the variety of items that come with the Magic Shop.

Accomplishing Necropolis B10 was a great feat for me last week, and has really helped me move towards that late game feel.  On top of my personal Summoners War progress I was able to contribute some additional detailed analysis insights to the community around Summon Rates and the Magic Shop Refresh rates.  Until next week summoners keep on summoning!

2017 Update plans, Legendary Pokemon, cheating, missing features

Niantic CEO John Hanke
John Hanke Niantic CEO playing Pokemon Go

Recently Wired’s German division was able to conduct an interview with Niantic CEO John Hanke.  Hanke took the time to address many topics and issues at the fronts of trainer’s minds today. He first took a crack at addressing a rework in the gym battles and allowing for a more collaborative Pokemon Go user experience.

“There are a couple of areas that need to be improved – one of them being playing together and gym battles. We released those in an incomplete state. We knew from Ingress that cooperation and planning can be a lot of fun. When people have a common goal, then that’s a strong incentive to meet up with friends or even with people you don’t know.”

“The gameplay in gym battles is very limited. They just don’t work as well as we wish they would. We will overhaul this aspect of the game to ensure more teamwork and to give people a bigger incentive to receive the rewards from gym battles.”

He then addressed a few other updates players are eagerly awaiting.  Those updates mainly revolve around the appearance of one of Pokemons eagerly awaited game features fans have long been waiting for, Legendary Creatures.  Hanke reassured everyone that we should be seeing more of the likes of Mewtwo, Mew, and the Legendary Birds.

Another topic at the tips of everyone’s fingers is GPS Spoofing.  Hanke directly addressed the GPS Spoofing trick so players do not have to leave their homes.  Hanke stated the following:

“I don’t think it’s the user’s fault when an app or a website offers him a shortcut. It’s our responsibility to prevent those things or to not make them harder than they currently are.”

“I wish they wouldn’t do it. Through cheating, they’re not allowing themselves to experience the game to its fullest. The reward of Pokemon GO is being active and getting to see places you normally wouldn’t see.”

The last thing the Niantic CEO address was the concern in the lack of features.  He made people aware that the main rational for the problem was due to funding.

“When we left Google, we had a limited amount of money, a funding of 35 million dollars. We had a fairly large team and a relatively short amount of time. We worked a long time on it and eventually that just exhausts people. We felt it was time to get noticed.”

John Hanke did us a great favor by addressing many of the trainers concerns around Pokemon Go 2017.  We can’t wait to see what is in store for trainers this year and look forward to many long awaited new features, and Pokemon! Thanks John for taking the time to sit down and discuss these questions with Wired for us! We are extremely happy that you and Niantic are taking steps towards participating more in the media, and becoming more vocal yourselves in the Pokemon Go community.

Summoners War a Week in Review (2/13/17 to 2/19/17)

Summoners War a Week in Review (2/13/17 to 2/19/17)

Remember to subscribe to the weekly blog with your email, and the youtube channel for videos.

Like last week, apologies for being a day late again.  I was traveling yesterday, and did not have time to make the weekly post on time.  With that said I am quickly closing in on a year of Summoners War! However, I do not think I will be able to make all the goals I had set. A big piece of that has been due to time, there just wasn’t quite enough run way to get there.  On the flip side I was able to take a TOAN stuffing from the previous month with Artamiel and work out the kinks.

***Note per feedback next week I will include a list of times and progress for tracking (Sorry didn’t have time for it this week)***

Theme

This week’s theme is going to be along the lines of Summoners War persistence.  I want to go by that as its sort of two fold.  First, it’s the persistence of being able to beat TOAN 100 again for this cycle.  Then it is also Summoners War persistence because as I begin to move into year two of Summoners war I have goals that I can carry over into the next year of gameplay.

TOAN

Coming off the back of last month’s roll over of TOAN and getting stuck at Artamiel I made it my Summoners War crusade to beat TOAN 100 right away.  There was no filly farting around, and I wanted to get straight to it.  I wanted to make sure I had ample time to work out any kinks instead of leaving a very tight timeline at the end of the TOA roll over like I typically do.

I was able to progress quickly like I have in the past getting to around TOAN 80 for auto.  I do pay a little attention at the boss levels sometimes, just to ensure a little efficiency.  It wasn’t until TOAN 80 Seara where I actually had to think about my strategy a bit.  In order to beat TOAN 80 I swapped in Hwa for slows and big hits to accomplish the task of going straight to the face.

This month’s TOAN 90 Aschubel seemed like a cake walk relative to last months.  I was able to quickly by pass it, and get to 100.  I was able to beat TOAN 100 first run through, with the same strategy I used last time to beat it.  The team I use works well by having big heals and big health.  I run Veromos, Theomars, Iona, Belladeon, and Chasun to accomplish the completion of TOAN 100.

Necropolis Update

I did not make any additional progress on trying to beat Necropolis B10 this past week.  I believe I need to re-rune Hwa violent if I would like to complete with some of my current monsters.  I am also sitting on six starring an additional one at the moment. That six star will most likely be Colleen, not only to help with Necro B10, but other areas of the game as well.

Rune Update

I will update the Rune counts next week, as I accidently already combined this weeks into the mix. Apologies again, but I did not run either that much as I decided to focus on TOA instead, so not really much of an update anyway.

This past week I did not play a lot of PVP.  Even though I flipped back to my old strategy I think I was just slightly north of 100 attacks for the week, still significantly less than my usual.

Notable Mentions

Wind Mummy Secret Dungeon

Runes Level 15

I was able to upgrade four more runes to level 15 this week.

Buildings

I leveled up 7 different buildings this week.  I figured based off last week’s TOA runs maybe my monsters could use a little more help.

Summary

Overall I was very happy with last week’s Summoners War persistence.  Being slightly grumpy of the TOAN 90 stuffing of the week before I was able to accomplish my goal last week of turning the tables on TOA.  I am looking forward to the next week as I will hit my one year of Summoners War gameplay, and continue to fine tune and work through my next set of challenges/goals.  Until then summoners keep on summoning.

Fire Emblem Heroes is a free to play tactics game released for iOS and Android February 2, 2017. The game was developed by Nintendo and Intelligent Systems.  Fire Emblem Heroes is an action packed game with an interesting storyline.  You eventually find out that the Heroes you are fighting with are trying to find their friend Zacharias.

Fire Emblem Heroes comes from Nintendo’s Fire Emblem product line. You can find more information about Fire Emblem here at Nintendo’s website:

Gameplay

I have been playing the game for about two weeks now, and have thoroughly enjoyed Fire Emblem Heroes. First, I like how the user experience is laid out with the game, and you can pick it up with relative ease if you haven’t played a game of similar style before.  The initial opening of the game you are summoned by a group of heroes: Alfonse, Sharena, and Anna.  They are embroiled in a fight with a young princess by the name of Veronica who is trying to destroy their kingdom of Askr.

Your job as the tactician is to ensure Veronica doesn’t achieve her goal of destroying Askr. You play with four heroes at a time fighting many different style foes.  As you progress throughout the game you will ally with more and more heroes allowing you to build unique teams to counter your enemies.

Intro

Fire Emblem Battles

There are three major pieces to the game you will become familiar with rather quickly. First, is the maps which is comprised of the Story Maps and Special Maps.  The Story Maps are the general game progression, and range from a Normal, Hard, and Lunatic mode across 9 Chapters each with 5 Parts.  On top of that not only is there a Main Story but additional Paralogues.

Main Story Maps

The Special Maps allow you to essentially recruit new heroes to build your teams. Here each day is a refresh where you can attempt to defeat different heroes.  After completing the parts you will unlock them in joining your team.

Special Maps

The Second piece of the Fire Emblems Battles icon is the Arena Duels. Here you are able to fight fellow tacticians and send invites in a non real-time PvP match.  Moving up the ranks and gaining more offense and defense points grants you better rewards at the end of the arena event duration.

The last major piece of Fire Emblem gameplay with the battles is the Training Tower. As you unlock more chapters in the Story Maps more stratums open up for you to train your heroes.  You will spend a lot of time here.  A Fire Emblem Tip is to make sure to get use to using Auto-Battle, but be careful it can get stuck in loops, and isn’t necessarily always looking out for your best interest.  The Training tower is a great way to get experience for your heroes and level them up!

Fire Emblem Summon

One last piece I want to share is that as you progress through the game you will receive orbs allowing you to summon more heroes! Lots of times there are special rotations that feature heroes from many of the different Fire Emblem games.

Conclusion

All in all I have thoroughly enjoyed Fire Emblem Heroes, and look forward to spending ample hours playing. I know there is a lot left to the game, but I think you have the basics.  Feel free to subscribe for additional Fire Emblem content as well as gameplay videos.  I hope you enjoy the game as much as I have!
